Battlefield 1’s Open Beta Release Window Has Gotten A Little Smaller

During a recent live stream Twitch interview with Germany Battlefield community manager Sebastian Moritz, it was revealed that the open beta for Battlefield 1 will be here sooner than anticipated. The open beta is set to kick off “shortly after” Gamescom.

According to Moritz, fans can have access to the open beta for the upcoming first-person shooter after Gamescom concludes. The upcoming convention is set to commence on August 17th and will conclude on 21st in Cologne, Germany. Based on the comments made by Moritz and the dates of the Gamescom 2016 it is possible the open beta will be available sometime late August/early September.

In addition to revealing the open beta’s release date, Moritz also announced that Battlefield Insiders will receive up to three days of early access. Lastly, Moritz revealed that Rush Mode will be available in the final version of the game.

Prepare to dive into the trenches of World War 1 on October 21st when Battlefield 1 releases. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
