Bethesda Wold Still Like To Add Fallout 4 Mod Support To PlayStation 4

Although PlayStation 4 mod support for Fallout 4 has been cancelled, there is still a chance that PS4 owners may join the modding community. According to the developer, there is still a strong possibility that Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition could get “mod support of some kind.”

Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines took to his official Twitter page, Hines stated that although he is not allowed to reveal any details regarding the PS4 mod support project, the studio is making a valiant effort to implement PS4 mods into their games. “The holdup is on Sony’s end,” Bethesda explains during a statement made earlier this month.

“We regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition,” the company explains.

However, there is a possibility that the reason behind Fallout 4 on the PlayStation 4 doesn’t offer mod support may be due to not reaching an agreement, recently Sony approved for Farming Simulator 17 to support mods. Hopefully both parties can come to an agreement and PlayStation 4 owners can finally join the Fallout 4 modding community.
