Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta Gets A Massive Update

Right now, there’s a beta going on exclusively on the PlayStation 4 for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, where players can play on a couple of maps to test the latency of the game’s netcode with a level cap of 28. However, over on Twitter, Call of Duty: Black Ops III director David Vonderhaar announced that the beta would be getting a bit of an update.

Starting today at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, an update will be coming to the beta that will increase the level cap from 28 to 34, adds the Stronghold map, and will add the game mode Uplink, which was first introduced in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and requires teams to carry a satellite drone to the opposing teams enemy points (think reverse Capture the Flag). In another tweet, Vonderhaar also revealed that of all the players who’ve participated in the beta, only 10 percent have reached the level 28 level cap. The beta is going on now, and ends on August 23rd. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set to release on November 6th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
