Call of Duty: Black Ops III Teaser Hints Futuristic Tech

Is 2015 isn’t futuristic enough for you, how about 2020? Not enough for you there either? A new teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops III teases a setting placed in 2065, fifty years from now and forty years post Black Ops II. Along with the time advancement, there is also word within the teaser about cybernetically-enhanced soldiers. This could be one step above the exo-suits we see in Advanced Warfare currently, or it could also be the same idea, tech suits to help maneuver through, cloak, speed and silence.

The teaser shows moments in history, and the advancement of technology and modification to humans themselves. Over time, we see the use of doping amongst athletes, age of wearable technology advancements, enhanced human experiences ending disability all together. Should we undermine this technology and claim it as unconstitutional? Biotech, DNA upgrades, replacing limbs as weapons, how much is too much?

The world reveal happens this Sunday, April 26 courtesy of Activision and Treyarch. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is landing sometime this fall on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
