Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’s Post-Launch Support May End Early Next Year

Raven Software has revealed new details regarding post-launch support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. According to the developer in-game support may conclude early next year.

In a recent interview with Destructoid, Dave Pellas, studio director at Raven Software announced the studio’s intent on supporting the game with new content post-launch. “We’ll see, but what I can say for now is that we will be supporting the game until Spring 2017.” Pellas explains.

Though Pellas did not exactly confirm nor deny if they intend on ceasing in-game support long-term basis, it is quite possible that if the the game becomes very popular, the development studio may have a change of heart. Currently, Modern Warfare Remastered will launch with 10 multiplayer maps, with six more maps included in a free update sometime in December.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered is set to launch on November 4th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For those who are interested in obtaining Modern Warfare Remastered you must pre-order the Legacy or the Legacy Pro edition of Infinite Warfare.
