Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Zombie Mode Is Ridiculously 80s

No Call of Duty game would be complete without a Zombie, and the newest game in the series, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is no exception. But unlike previous games, which included (but not limited to) fighting Nazi zombies, fighting zombies as President John F. Kennedy, famous horror film stars, or most recently in 1930s film noir setting with Jeff Goldblum, this version of the beloved Zombies takes us back to a time where Ronald Reagan was President of the United States, parachute pants were a thing, and He-Man and Transformers ruled Saturday mornings; I’m of course referring to the 80s.

In this new mode, called “Zombies in Spaceland”, players take control of one of four 80s stereotypes, a rapper, a nerd, a jock and a valley girl (voice Jay Pharoah, Seth Green, Ike Barinholtz, and Sasheer Zamata respectively), as they try to survive a zombie invasion in the space themed amusement park Spaceland. Players will have access to a ton of weaponry and special abilities, such as being able to push zombies away with a sort of energy blast. The park is full of various traps that players can activate including crushing them between the mouth of a giant monster, freezing them and running them over with bumper cars, or my personal favorite, lighting them on fire with a disco ball while they break dance on the dance floor. Yes, there are break dancing zombies in the game. Also, David Hasselhoff shows up as the park DJ. Did I mention how 80s this mode is?

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases on November 4th, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who preorder the game will also get a special “Zombies in Spaceland Pack”, which will give players a unique weapon camo and calling card, to name a few.
