Deus Ex Mankind

Check Out This Eighteen Minute Demo Of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Earlier today, Square Enix hosted a live stream dedicated to a number of projects based on Deus Ex, as well as some news about the latest game in the series Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. In addition, the developers of a game also did an 18 minute demo of one of the game’s biggest area: Prague.

The demo, which you can check out below, takes place sometime in the middle of the events of last year’s E3 demo, which had protagonist Adam Jensen getting caught in an explosion at a train station, and waking up in a hotel room. From there, the developers show off the many ways that players can interact with the world and the various NPCs that inhabit it. Like in the last game (as well as the Deus Ex series as a whole), players will be able to make certain choices that will affect the story and how the game plays. While the developers avoided certain choices in the walkthrough itself, these other paths are briefly shown in various cuts throughout the video. The demo concludes with Jensen saving a friend from local mobsters, starting by being sneaky and silently taking out the goons with cloaking and  the Tesla gun arm before ending with the encounter by eliminating the remaining thugs with guns and a toxic gas grenade.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on August 23rd for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
