E3 2016: The Last Guardian Gets A New Trailer, Official Release Date

Six years ago, a spiritual successor to ICO was confirmed to be in development, six years later the game is finally being showed off at E3 and we couldn’t be more excited. During Sony’s E3 press conference The Last Guardian is designer and director Fumito Ueda’s goes into detail about the upcoming PS4 exclusive as well as revealed the release date.

During a IGN interview prior to the start of E3 2016, Ueda dived into the surface of what we can expect from this interesting game. Although not much was explained regarding the game, it was provided that the game would in fact he showed off at E3 2016.

For those who are not up to par with development history, the game originally was set to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, as the PS3’s lifespan was coming to a close people put two and two together that it would be instead released on the PlayStation 4. According to Ueda, the game’s current state at the development studio saw transitions between console hardware, something he wasn’t really looking forward too about, as well as internal changes to the studio itself.

The Last Guardian is set to be released on October 25th for the PlayStation 4.
