EA Details It’s Plans For Star Wars Game Lineup

During EA Play, founder of EA’s Motive Studios Jade Raymond took the stage to discuss the publisher’s plans for the Star Wars license. While there wasn’t much in terms of new gameplay, we did get news about what each of the publisher’s in-game studios is working.

While there was no in-game footage of it, Raymond did confirm that her studio Motive would be working with DICE closely with the development of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, which promises to include content from the new Star Wars movies, and will incorporate fan feedback from the first game. Additionally, Motive will also be working with Dead Space developer Visceral on their new Star Wars game, with a few seconds of footage shown. Finally, a bit of motion capture from Respawn over their unnamed Star Wars game was shown, which will be a third person game that will have lightsabers, as shown in the video.

All in all, EA will be publishing seven different Star Wars games from seven of it’s developers between now and 2018. This will also include new content for games that are already out, including Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
