EA Has Narrowed Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Release Date

During EA’s last investor call, they revealed that Star Wars Battlefront 2 would be released fall of 2017. While it is still a year away, it is good to have a date on when fans can expect to get back into the Star Wars universe.

When asked about the release date, Chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen said that the game will release “a year from now.” “We’re working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering,” he added.

This release date is far more narrow than the one given earlier this year at the EA press conference that stated the game would come out sometime in 2017. However, that press conference did reveal that the game would feature content from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and other upcoming Star Wars films.

For now, though, fans still have the final piece of DLC, Rogue One: Scariff, to look forward to. Rogue One: Scariff is set to launch this winter and will introduce characters, locations, vehicles, and weapons from the upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
