Fallout 4 Gets Season Pass and Regular Free Updates

Bethesda has outlined their initial post-release plans for the fourth numbered installment of their post apocalyptic RPG shooter Fallout 4 today, detailing not only the release of a Season Pass, but also regular updates released for free along the way. “After many long years, Fallout 4 is entering its final months of development. We’ve put so much into it for so long; we can’t believe it’s almost done,” wrote Bethesda in a blog post. “The game will soon be out of our hands and into yours. There’s so much there that we haven’t talked about or spoiled, because we want you to discover it, to make it your own.”

The studio goes on to detail their plans post release, including regular free updates much like with Skyrim, which will include not just bug fixes, but also new features where available. Early next year we can also expect the Fallout 4 Creation Kit, which will let PC players make new mods, which are also planned for Xbox One as well as PlayStation 4. Finally, for $30 players can also purchase the Fallout 4 season pass, for DLC that has yet to be announced, but is set for release early next year. Fallout 4 is set for release this November 10th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
