Final Fantasy XV Will Have HDR Support On The Xbox One S

With all the talk of the PlayStation 4 Pro and it’s support of High Dynamic Range, or HDR, it’s easy to forget that the Xbox One S also supports this new format. Square Enix hasn’t forgotten though, as Final Fantasy XV will support HDR on the Xbox One S.

The news comes not from Square Enix themselves, but rather the head of Xbox Phil Spencer. Spencer confirmed it on Twitter last night by saying “@FinalFantasy XV is confirmed to support HDR on #XboxOneS at launch. Can’t wait to play on 11/29.” Square Enix had previously confirmed that the game would support HDR on the PlayStation 4 Pro, so while it’s obvious that the Xbox One S version of the game would support the format as well, it’s still nice to get some form of confirmation nonetheless.

Final Fantasy XV releases on November 29th. The game will be coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, both S and Pro and regular versions of the consoles.
