Here’s When Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Players Can Get Their Backwards Compatibility Codes

One of the biggest selling points of buying the HD remaster of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was the inclusion of backwards compatibility codes for all the Gears of War games. Today, developer The Coalition has revealed the date on when players can get their compatibility codes.

Over on their Twitter account, The Coalition revealed that the codes for the Xbox 360 versions of the original Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War Judgement will be sent out on December 1st. If you haven’t gotten the game yet or are worried that you won’t get the codes if you don’t buy the game right away, don’t. You have until December 31st of this year to be eligible for the codes, so if you get this game for Christmas, you’ll have five games instead of one. Talk about a sweet deal. The codes will also be sent out in waves via Xbox Live, so if you don’t get it right away, don’t panic.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is available now for Xbox One, and will be coming to Windows 10 computers in the future.
