Isaac Hempstead Confirms Return to ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6

Game of Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead told the Irish Examiner that Brandan Stark will indeed be returning in Game of Thrones Season 6.

“I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions,” he teased.

Game of Thrones Season 5 in Review

Since Season 3, Bran’s story has been pretty isolated from the rest of the characters and happenings in the world. One has to wonder, as Bran’s powers of sight and warging grow, what role he might play in the overall scheme of the conflict. Perhaps he’ll have a vision of his far away siblings or even something helpful against the White Walkers.

Hempstead has also admitted, “I missed the whole of the last season because it was right in the middle of my exams, so I didn’t have the time to watch it. But I’m looking forward to getting with some friends and binge-watching it all.”

Also, since Bran came pretty close to reuniting with Jon Snow twice, the Examiner wondered if Hempstead had any thoughts on Jon’s much pined for return. “I don’t know (if he will come back). He’s said he’s not,” he said.

“I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character’s so cool. Who knows? We start filming series six at the end of this month (July) so we’ll see.” Game of Thrones Season 6 will reportedly begin filming at the end of July.
