Legends Draw to a Close in This Metal Gear History Trailer

It’s been over 20 years since Metal Gear first came out in Japan, and through those years, fans have watched their enemies carefully, learned how to blend in with their surroundings, and ultimately mastered the art of hiding in plain sight, and when to strike with both hot lead, as well as masterful CQC. In this newest trailer from Konami and PlayStation, we get to take a look back at not only the first Metal Gear Solid, but all the Metal Gear Solid games leading up to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, scheduled for release at the end of the month.

Many questions have come up throughout the history of the games, as well as plenty of answers. But the one thing that has alluded Metal Gear scholars was the reason for Big Boss’ turn towards the dark side, the reason why he must be at odds with Solid Snake from the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid. With the gap in time quickly drawing to a close, Metal Gear Solid V promises that all will be answered, and finally fans will know the truth. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set for release on September 1st for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
