New DLC for Rock Band 3 After Nearly Two Years

Harmonix has announced that a handful of songs, including tracks by Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters and Avenged Sevenfold, will be making their way to Rock Band 3’s already massive catalogue of over 3,500 tracks by nearly 1,500 artists. This comes as a surprise as Harmonix had previously said they weren’t going to be releasing anymore DLC for the seminal music game all the way back in April of 2013. It has been almost 21 months since they have done so.

Each song will be priced at $2 and will be available through the Rock Band store starting tomorrow in the U.S. and January 21st in Europe. Each song will also be compatible with Rock Band Blitz. It is unclear whether or not Harmonix plans to continue releasing more DLC in to the future or this will be the absolute last. Unfortunately, we will still never see any more DLC for DJ Hero.
