New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Update Adds New Equipment, FOB, and More

Konami has released a new update for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Though it doesn’t seem like much, fans will surely welcome the new additions this update brings.

For starters, players will now be able to build a third FOB, which will increase the maximum amount of staff. There will also be new security devices that can be added to the FOB called “Anti-Reflex Research”, whatever that means, and a bunch of new Grade 8 equipment is being added to the game, such as the WU S.PISTOL CB handgun and the the KABARGA-83 sniper rifle. Other additions in this update include:

  • The top rankings for PF Rating and Espionage Rating will now be displayed.
  • Whereas until now only resources in your offline inventory could be sold, from now on your online inventory can also be sold.
  • The issue with certain DLC uniform equipment not having its advertised effect is now fixed.
  • In-game notifications of events and other news have been improved.

The update also fixes any bugs or glitches in the game, as per usual. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
