New Pokemon Sun And Moon Trailer Has Biggest News Yet

If Pokemon Sun and Moon’s new Pokemon haven’t peaked your interest yet, then you may want to take a look at the new trailer. The most recent bit of news, shows not only new Pokemon, but also some interesting variations too some old ones.

Instead of Mega-Evolutions, “certain Pokemon have been thriving in the Alola region.” Exeggutor, Vulpix, Ninetales, Sandshrew and Sandslash have all received a visual change, along with new typings. Exeggutor will be Grass/Dragon, Vulpix will be Ice and Ninetales will be Ice/Fairy, Sandshrew and Sandslash will both be brandishing a new Ice/Steel typing. These new Alola forms bring a new side for these Pokemon, especially in the competitive seen. The most interesting, arguably, is Oricorio and it’s four different “dance styles.” Each style will change Oricorio’s typing, much like Rotom can change its typing. We also get to see a pretty sweet scene of a trainer riding valiantly in on a Charizard.

Three new gameplay mechanics were also introduced in the trailer. There are new Island Challenges where trainers will need to prove their “Rite of Passage.” We don’t see much, but we do see the four trainers we will be facing in these challenges. After trainers clear their trials they will have to face powerful Totem Pokemon and the Island’s Kahuna. The Pokemon moves we saw in earlier trailers have been confirmed as Z-moves. These moves look to be extremely overpowered, with each type getting one move.

Pokemon Sun and Moon is shaping up to possibly be the deepest Pokemon game we have seen. Pokemon Sun and Moon will be available November 18th, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
