Next Call of Duty Game Might Take Place In Space

There are some big rumors regarding the next game in the Call of Duty series! According to NeoGAF user Shinobi602 and reported by EuroGamer, the next Call of Duty will take place in the future, much like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3.

But the next game may take place even farther, with space combat between “warring sci-fi groups”. It’s no longer unusual for a Call of Duty game to take place in a futuristic setting, but aside from a mission in Call of Duty: Ghosts, no other game has ever been taken into space with space combat. The game will also not be a direct sequel to Ghosts which was also rumoured for some time.

Infinity Ward, developer of the Modern Warfare trilogy and Ghosts will be responsible for the next release and gameplay is ready to be revealed at E3 this year. There was no release date given yet for the next Call of Duty game but Call of Duty titles are well known to launch in November- December so new Call of Duty news can’t be too far off. We’ll just have to wait until Activision unveils gameplay to see if these rumors are true or not.

All Call of Duty news as of right now is rumors. Some gameplay may be coming at E3 so be sure to stay tuned for some official news from the developers.
