Nintendo Announces Amiibo Release Date Details

Nintendo has finally released some more information on the newest wave of the popular amiibo figures. Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, Ganondorf, Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary Mario, Olimar, and Zero Suit Samus will hit store shelves on September 11, 2015. Two weeks later, on September 25, Nintendo will be releasing R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Mr. Game & Watch as part of their retro 3-pack. The Mii Fighter amiibos will be releasing sometime in November as a 3-pack. Information on the “Mario Modern Color” will be given out “in the future.” All previously mentioned amiibos are intended to be used with the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U except the Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary Mario, which will unlock special content in Super Mario Maker.

If history has taught us anything in these previous amiibo releases, it’s that these amiibos will be tricky to find unless you secure yours as early as possible. Amiibo hunters have been on the prowl since November, gathering up rare amiibos to collect, trade and sell so be sure to get your figures ASAP.
