Powerpuff Girls Returning

PowerPuff Girls Returning in New TV Series in 2016

My childhood included watching the frilly and feisty PowerPuff Girls. Yes, I am guilty as charged, but that isn’t a crime. For the record, Bubbles was my favorite. Now, the crime-fighting trio is heading back to the small screen in 2016 with a new series on Cartoon Network. Superheroes are making a comeback in all forms!

Chief content officer, Rob Sorcher has stated, “We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice, and Chemical X.”

“As the original ambassador of girl power, ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ brand continues to resonate with people of all ages and there is tremendous excitement around introducing Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup to a new generation,” said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products for North America, Cartoon Network Enterprises. “With proven success and great content plans in place, there’s so much potential that we’re looking forward to explore with our licensing partners in the coming weeks.”

What will these girls be into this time? It’s up to the network but we should hear more at some point. It would only make sense since the show won two Emmy awards during its 78 episodes and full length film. PowerPuff Girls also mutated with a 10th anniversary special and a CG special. All is well, let’s hope MoJo JoJo won’t be around to hear this.
