The X-Files Reborn

SDCC 2014: X-Files TV Series Reboot Rumored!

X-Files fans may have something big to look forward to as the shows creator, Chris Carter, recently spoke to Vulture about the future of the old popular sci-fi show and a possible reboot.

Carter first spoke about the presumed tension between 20th Century Fox TV and himself, reassuring by saying “A lot of the people that were involved in that [lawsuit] have moved on. It’s the business. I’m very friendly with Gary and Dana. Dana and I basically cut our teeth at the same time. She was a publicist. It’s nice to go through your career with someone you have respect for and were in the trenches with. Dana and I sat in the same room during the first market testing of The X-Files. She was like a junior publicist, and I was this unproven producer. She was there at the beginning. So I owe her a lot. And certainly she and I have talked a lot about this.”

When asked about a possible TV show reboot due to improved relations with the network, Carter replied “…there certainly have been conversations.” He then went on to say to assume nothing as of yet. With such a large cult fan following, die hard fans wait with baited breath on news of a true reboot in hopes to see Mulder and Scully on TV once again.
