Second Beta For Hitman Open To Playstation Plus Members

Get ready Playstation Plus subscribers because the new Hitman beta will be open to you! The second beta for the next Hitman game, which will be open to all Playstation Plus members, will begin on March 4th.

The previous beta for Hitman was only open to those who pre-ordered the game but Square Enix announced that the next will be open to all those who are members of Playstation Plus. The new beta will have the same mission that was available to players in the first beta, but will be available to those who never had the chance for the first beta if they had not pre-ordered the game. The Studio Head at Io-Interactive has stated that with more people playing the beta it “will allow us to really stress test our server setup, which is a crucial element for us to get just right”. This is good to hear from any developer as a lot of games that are released today with multiplayer servers experience many problems at launch due to too many players flooding servers. There has been no mention of a beta for the Xbox One or PC at this time so just Playstation Plus subscribers can participate in the new beta.

Accompanying the announcement of the open beta, Square Enix also released a new trailer for the next instalment in the Hitman games. The trailer gives a lot of throwbacks to the first Hitman game as well as Hitman: Blood Money that long time fans of the series should enjoy. You can check out this exciting trailer below.
