Star Wars Battlefront’s Rogue One Expansion Has A Release Date

EA has finally revealed when players can get their hands on Star Wars Battlefront’s final expansion, Rogue One: Scarif. If you have the Season Pass, expect to get your hands on the expansion on December 6th.

“In Rogue One: Scarif you’ll battle across four new maps, including the sandy beaches of Scarif – an all-new tropical planet crawling with Imperials – which should look mighty familiar to anyone who saw the movie trailer,” the publisher explained. “Know that incredible scene in the trailer where the AT-ACT is marching through the waves? That’s the one!”

In addition to new maps, players will have access to new heroes based on the upcoming movie- Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic-as well as a new multi-stage mode that combines space and ground combat. Speaking of ground combat, also arriving on December 6th is Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission, a free piece of DLC for PlayStation VR that will let players pilot their own X-Wing “in fully immersive virtual reality.”

Star Wars Battlefront is available now for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story releases on December 16th.
