Sonic the Hedgehog is a game that holds a very special place in the hearts of many gamers. Numerous fast paces and adrenaline-racing games that had no shortage of balls-to-the-wall speed fun and shiny items to collect along the way, the Sonic the Hedgehog series is a beloved classic. Whether your favourite character was the beautiful bat Rouge, Knuckles, Tails, Amy or even the blue haired hedgehog with a need for speed, Mr. Sonic himself, the series offers a multitude of characters that we love to see and play with.
An anthropomorphic blue hedgehog, Sonic is the main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog anthology. His laid back and cool-headed character is a symbol of peace. Like his name implies, he moves at the speed of sound and has lightning fast reflexes to top it off. Not to mention, he can roll into a ball to attack his enemies and knock them out. His personality is described as being “like the wind”. He’s a drifter that is always on the move and is always in search of adventure. Sonic values freedom and living life according to how he sees fit, rather than according to the standards of others around him.
It’s no wonder he’s a popular character to cosplay. Whether it is a physical blue suit of Sonic or an interpretation, anyone at any convention around the world or on any DeviantArt page will instantly recognize this iconic character. Vera Baby, a Canadian based cosplayer, has one of the most unique and intriguing cosplays of Sonic on the scene. Her blue bodysuit team with red heeled booties, wild blue hair and even the little hedgehog ears all make this cosplay work extremely well. This is definitely a cosplay that will bring back feelings of nostalgia and make your jaw drop at the same time!
