The Last Guardian Gets A Little More Time To Really Shine

The long awaited and much anticipated The Last Guardian will be getting one last delay to make sure the game can really shine. While it is a shame, the delay isn’t too long and if it helps deliver a polished experience then it is worth the wait.

Instead of arrive October 25th, the game will now launch December 6th, according to a recent PlayStation blog post. The reason for the delay is because the developers discovered more bugs than planned and need more time to iron them all out.

“Fumito Ueda, gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio have a wonderful vision for The Last Guardian’s touching, emotional journey of friendship and trust, and we want to deliver the most polished experience possible for our fans who have supported us for so long,” Yoshida wrote. “A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.

“Our development continues to push itself to the fullest and we look forward to revealing new content toward launch.” The Last Guardian is now set to launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on December 6th.
