Some new screenshots have been released for The Witcher 3’s newest expansion Blood and Wine. And you know what? I’m not even going to beat around the bush: they’re really beautiful. Like holy cow, these are gorgeous.
It’s hard to believe that this is an expansion and not a full blown game based on these screenshots (a few of which you can check out below), but leave it to developer CD Projekt Red to come up with some amazing looking worlds. Everything is so bright and vibrant, a nice contrast to the usually grim and dark (albeit still beautiful) landscape that the base game takes place in. Even the giant bug enemies look really great, because what would a Witcher game be without fighting monsters?
Currently, there is no set release date for Blood and Wine, though their are rumors that it might launch before E3 this year. Still, if it plays as good as these screenshots look, we’re going to be in for a good time. The Witcher 3 is available now for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
