This Brief Battlefield 5 Teaser Paves The Way For Upcoming Reveal

With Battlefield 5’s full reveal being announced worldwide tomorrow, EA never fails to increase our hype and impatience. Today, Electronic Arts UK has released a nine second teaser trailer for the upcoming installment in the Battlefield series.

The short video showcases the first “game engine footage” seen for the game. Which includes is a close-up shot of a unnamed character, curiously looking into the camera as a shadow slowly looming over the soldier’s face. From what little can be seen of the character’s outfit, many die hard fans have speculated that Battlefield 5 will be set sometime in World War II, which puts some rest to the previous rumor stated the upcoming installment will take place during World War I.

While the footage is spectacular, the video’s disclaimer clarifies that it is “not actual gameplay,” however, what we can infer is the game will most likely be running on EA’s proprietary Frostbite engine. If you would like to know more information regarding the game’s setting and true graphical prowess, fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for Battlefield 5’s full reveal and announcement, tomorrow at 10am Eastern Time 1pm Pacific Time.
