Top 5 Must-Watch Anime of Fall 2015

Break out the Pumpkin Spice, Fall is here! Along with the new season comes a hoard of anime releases, from new titles to returning favorites. But which series will you watch on those chilly nights? What will be your go-to anime when you are avoiding schoolwork? Well, we here at All That’s Epic would like to lend you a hand setting up your anime queues. In this article you will find five brand-new series that definitely seem worth the watch.


5) Kamisama Minaria: Himitsu no Cocotama (God Apprentices: Secretive Cocotama)

“Cocotama” are tiny gods born from the thoughts and feelings of objects that humans treat with great care. These gods hatch from eggs and wear part of the egg as underwear to show that they are still apprentices. Using a mysterious magic, these apprentices work hard to be useful to humans and become full-fledged gods. Cocotama live inside human houses and stealthily move around to help humans find lost objects, but as apprentices they tend to make many mistakes. This series features six main gods who are born from a colored pencil, piano, book, tube of lipstick, television, and fork.

Kamisama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama is being produced by Bandai and is set to release in Japan on October 1. Bandai is also launching a toy line featuring the adorable apprentice gods.


4) Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru (A Corpse is Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet)

Shotaro Tatewaki is a normal high school student with a serious demeanor who likes to show off his extraordinarily beautiful girlfriend Sakurako Kujyo. Sakurako loves “beautiful bones,” and is able to analyze different specimen. While living in the city of Asahikawa in Hokkaido, the couple gets involved in various incidents regarding bones.

This anime is based off of the mystery light novel series by the same name, and is set to premiere in Japan on October 7. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series under the name Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation.


3) Ore-ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite Gets-Sareta Ken (Syomin Sample)

In a hidden school surrounded by mountains, young ladies of good family are taught everything a high-class lady may need to know. However, being completely cut off from the world has become a problem. More and more graduates are failing to cope with the modern world. To deal with this problem the school decides to kidnap a male commoner and enroll him as a student so that he can gently introduce girls to the outside world. The school is under the impression that the male they have chosen, Kagurazak Kimito, is a homosexual with a muscle fetish. He decides to play along with this misconception when he learns he could be castrated to protect the girls’ purity. Now all he has to do is survive the attention of severely sheltered upper-class ladies.

Based off the light novel series of the same name, this quirky anime is set to release in Japan on October 7. It is being produced by the animation studio Silver Link, which you may be familiar with through their work on Non Non Biyori and Bonjour! Sweet Love Patisserie.


2) Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan (Chivalry of a Failed Knight)

In an alternate world there are Magic Knights, modern-day magic users who fight with weapons converted from their souls. Ikki Kurogane attends a school for these Magic Knights, but is failing because he has no magical abilities. However, one day he is challenged to a duel by Stella, a foreign princess and top student. In this duel, “the loser must be obedient for life.”

This series is based on the light novel of the same name, and is also being produced by the animation studio Silver Link. It is set to release in Japan on October 3.


1) Young Black Jack

This series is a prequel to Ozuma Tezuka’s classic manga series Black Jack which focuses on a maverick doctor who practices without a license. The anime follows the young doctor’s back when he was in medical school during the 1960s.

Though exact details are a bit hazy for this new anime, if it is anything like the original Black Jack fans will be more than pleased. Young Black Jack is being produced by Tezuka Productions and is set to release in Japan on October 3. The series will be streamed on Crunchyroll, where you can also watch the original Black Jack anime.
