Wii U Virtual Console To Be Released Next Week


News of the Nintendo Wii U getting a Virtual Console first broke when it finally released a dramatic system update that reduced load times significantly. We’re pleased to report that the Virtual Console will be released in North America next week!

The Nintendo Direct presentation talked about the features that would be included on the Virtual Console. The predominant features include being able to play the virtual games on your TV and from the GamePad while still being able to access the Miiverse community. The VC will be able to save a back-up of game progress as well. The games featured with the launch include Excitebike, Super Mario World, Punch-Out, Super Mario Bros., Super Metroid, F-Zero, and Balloon Fight. It’s also been said that future released will include Gameboy Advance and Nintendo 64 games to bring back some of those classics we all loved immensely.
