Xbox One Elite Controller Coming October 27th

The Xbox One is getting a new controller called the Xbox Elite. And according to multiple retailers, including Amazon, Gamestop, and even Microsoft’s own store, the controller is set for a October 27th release.

If that date seems significant to you, that’s because it’s the exact date that the newest game in the Halo series, Halo 5: Guardians, is set to release, meaning that on day one, players will be able to pick up the controller and take advantage of it’s ability to customize the buttons and layouts however they see fit. Of course, it’s not going to be cheap, as the controller is set to cost $150 USD on release, which is by far more expensive than most controllers and only slightly cheaper than the Halo 5: Guardians limited edition collector’s edition.

Still, for some players, this seems like a major investment in the long run, as it not only works with the Xbox One, but the PC as well, a first for an Xbox One wireless controller; the Xbox 360 controller supported the PC, but it either needed to be wired (which Microsoft stopped making) or it needed a special adapter.
