Yakuza 5 Gets Mid-November Release Date

Sega has finally announced a release date of the highly anticipated western release of their open world Japanese mobster title Yakuza 5, and has scheduled the release of the game for mid-November 2015. The game was originally announced for a western release earlier this year, with no idea of a release schedule other than “before the end of the year.” which is still exciting for fans of the franchise that doesn’t get very many western releases, it still wasn’t much to go off of.

“It’s been a while since we’ve talked about Yakuza 5,” Sega writes. “So we wanted to post a quick update on it. As you know, the digital pre-order lists Dec. 31, 2015 as the release date. Fortunately, this is not the case – it looks like we’ll be releasing the game mid-November, if all goes to schedule.” Sega continues to write that the date is later than they expected, however localization bugs aside they will announce a more solid release date as soon as they’re able. Yakuza 5 is being released for PlayStation 3, the Japanese release date was in 2012.
