Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition To offer Cross-Platform Save Imports

Posted July 29, 2014 by

With the new console generation upon us and developers re-releasing and updating their titles for the greater systems, cross-platform compatibility is quickly becoming a hot button ticket. Like Rockstar is doing with the re-release of Grand Theft Auto V, Blizzard is following suite, allowing players to transfer their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 saves to the newer consoles.

By linking up their gamertags or PSN ID’s to their account, the transfer is completed by going through a few in-game menus, creating a seamless transition for players to get back into the game. Unfortunately, this process is isolated only from last generation to current, so while you can for example, transfer saves from Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4, you cannot transfer saves from Xbox One to PlayStation 4 or vice versa. Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is set for release on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on August 19th.
