Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.2 Adds Flying Adamantoise Turtle
In a post on the Japanese Lodestone for Final Fantasy XIV, Square-Enix has decided to show off some of the new content headed to the next major content patch, 3.2. The Adamantoise is a giant scalekin native to the Near Eastern island of Thavnair, and with the addition of the Golden Saucer content back in patch 2.51, players have been able to exchange a cool 200,000 MGP for one, being able to ride the giant shelled tortoise as a mount across Eorzea. The only problem is that with the addition of flying mounts in the game’s first expansion, Heavensward, terrestrial mounts have suddenly lost their value.
For the Adamantoise however, there looks to be a light at the end of the tunnel, as in 3.2 the Adamantoise will receive a propulsion upgrade, allowing it to take flight into the skies over Ishgard. In addition, we also get to see what looks to be a massive beast of a boss, a giant six armed beast with wings and horns, staring at the player character with piercing red eyes. The encounter in question appears to take place in one of the game’s many dungeons, however only time will tell what the developers have in store.
