As you probably know by now, Fox is working on a new DC series titled “Gotham” and, with two major roles added to the list, we now have our young Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle.
David Mazouz has been cast to play the preteen version of Bruce Wayne. Batman’s story description reads as “sentenced to a solitary life after the tragic murder of his wealthy parents. Serious and soulful, young Bruce relies on the guidance and protection of Alfred Pennyworth and James Gordon.”
The other character cast is a young Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, who will be played by Camren Bicondova. Selina’s outline reads, “a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.” Whether or not Selina Kyle will be a regular character on “Gotham” is still in the air at this point.
“Gotham” will be an origin story focusing on James Gordon, with Bruce Wayne as a supporting role. Other stars filling roles alongside Mazouz and Bicondova are Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock and Jada Pickett-Smith as Fish Mooney.
