We’re a few weeks away from the release of the open world space exploration No Man’s Sky. But according to a recent report, the game may have been delayed again, missing its June 21st release.
The news comes form Kotaku, who claims that a few of their sources revealed that the game has been delayed again, instead aiming for a July or August release. One of these sources is supposedly a GameStop employee, who claims that after getting promotional material for the game, that it was no longer correct and that employees had to change the June 21st release date into a broad “coming soon” date. As of the time of this writing , neither Sony nor developer Hello Games has responded to these rumors.
As I’ve said before when it comes to these kind of rumors and reports, don’t take anything that’s said as 100 percent fact until the publisher or developers themselves have said anything. Still though, if this is true, it’s not the worse thing to happen. As a famous developer once said, “a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is bad forever.” No Man’s Sky is coming out on the PlayStation 4 and PC on June 21st (unless, you know, it turns out that rumors were true and the game is delayed).
