Uncharted 4 Dev Says Game’s Ending Will Be Controversial Among Fans

Being the last game in the Uncharted series, fans have already expected a decisive ending for Uncharted 4. But developer Naughty Dog thinks it could go a step farther and become divisive among fans when the game finally releases.

In a recent interview at an Uncharted 4 preview event, creative director Neil Druckmann told IGN how the testers were reacting to the ending and what exactly he hopes to accomplish with the ending, “I think people will discuss the ending. If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending.” ” I’m excited. Indifference would be the worst thing. I would rather have people hate it than be indifferent to it. We’ll see how they react.”

IGN then asked if the ending involved the end of Nathan Drake, to which Druckmann replied “Do you really want me to tell you? You don’t really want me to tell you.”  While I certainly want to know the answer to that question, it is sounding more and more like it would be much better to wait until the game’s release.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is set to release May 10 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
