Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Will Vary Slightly Between The Wii U and Switch

The Switch and Wii U versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have some differences. Content wise, they will be the same game, however, there will be some differences on the technical side.

While talking to IGN, Nintendo confirmed that there would be some technical differences with Breath of the Wild between the Wii U and the Switch. They confirmed that the Switch version of the game renders in 900p on the TV while the Wii U version renders in 720p, and the Switch version also has higher-quality environmental sounds, such as steps, water, and grass. Despite these technical differences, both games will run at 30 FPS and will release on the same day.

The Switch also has two different editions of the game, the Special Edition and Master Edition. Along with this, the Nintendo Switch will also have some different on-screen buttons.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release March 3rd for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
