Activision has revealed how they are going to be spreading the holiday spirit with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Throughout this holiday period, fans will get a new weapon, a holiday map, double XP, and more.
“‘Tis the Season is all about giving, and we have some seriously awesome gifts heading your way,” the publisher wrote. “We hope that you’ve been good this year, because you won’t want to miss out on these items.”
To start things off, players who have played both Black Ops III and Infinite Warfare will will receive an epic prototype Hailstorm – Thunder pistol. “The Hailstorm – Thunder is extremely shiny (and deadly), and features a three-round burst along with two perks: Whirlwind, which is a fast cycling auto burst that increases recoil, and Focus to reduce idle sway while aiming down sights,” Activision adds.
Later this month, the Genesis Holiday map will be introduced for a limited time. The new map gives the Headquarters for the Division of Mechanical Evolution a festive new look. There will also be a 24/7 Genesis Holiday playlist running at the same time.
To finish things off, from December 21st through January 1st, Activision will be offering gifts every day to Infinite Warfare players who log into the game, including big Salvage and Key bonuses, winter-themed personalization items, and winter-themed Common, Rare, and Legendary prototypes.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
