Eurogamer is reporting that Resident Evil Revelations 2 is expected to receive online capabilities for its time attack survival mode, known as Raid Mode, bringing online co-op to all systems by way of an update later this month. Previously, Capcom had said that online co-op for Raid mode wouldn’t be coming until all the game’s episodes were released as a disc bundle, and with all four episodes of the first season of the new entry into the Resident Evil franchise hitting the market, Capcom is making good on that statement.
To get specific, online co-op is scheduled to be released on March 31st, on all versions of the game including PC. This is fortunate, as PC players had to wait for local co-op, while split-screen was available for everyone else at launch. Resident Evil Revelations 2 marks the return of Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica’s Claire Redfield, now a seasoned survival horror veteran, and Moira Burton, daughter of original S.T.A.R.S member Barry Burton. Later in the game, the player steps into the shoes of Barry himself, who is accompanied by the enigmatic young girl known only as Natalia. Resident Evil Revelations 2 Episodes 1-3 are available now on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Episode 4 is scheduled for release on March 18th.
