Metal Gear Online Set To Receive Survival Mode In Next Update

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s online multiplayer, Metal Gear Online, is going to receive its survival mode in the next update. Survival mode adds a new challenge by having teams of six win five or more matches in a row; the more matches in a row that players win, the better their reward will be.

Gamers will have ten chances to set their highest streak, with just one exception. Players who purchased the Cloaked in Silence DLC for $3.99 will be granted however many tries they wish.  As a nice bonus to players, by playing on survival mode, the new maps in the DLC can be tried out at no cost, giving players a good idea on if they want the maps or not.  The official blog post has the update slated to release on April 7. The blog post then goes on to mention some stats on the game’s Close Quarter Combat (CQC) systems with information on core executive times for different actions such as the CQC escape offset and the throw time offset which allows players an edge when playing more tactically.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is out now for PlayStation 4 PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
