Pepper Potts Returning in Captain America Civil War

It probably won’t be as pivotal a role in Iron Man 3, but Gwyneth Paltrow will reprise her longtime MCU role as Pepper Potts in Captain America Civil War.

While her involvement in the film has been repeatedly denied, Empire reports that she has been called for reshoots.

Whatever her role is, I hope it’s going to be more substantial than the usual “Stare somberly at your phone or at a breaking news coverage to signify that there is at least somebody on the planet who can keep up with Tony’s ego and snark and actually cares about him so you should too, audience!”

Pepper Potts hasn’t appeared in a Captain America movie before so perhaps the Russo Brothers will have something interesting in mind for her.

Captain America Civil War is getting a pretty crowded cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Emily Van Camp, William Hurt, Daniel Bruhl, Frank Grillo, Paul Rudd, Paul Bettany and Martin Freeman. If the film can make all those pieces fit together it should be amazing!

Captain America Civil War begins in theaters May 6th.
