In the wake of Yusuf Mehdi announcing that the Xbox One has been, “selling out throughout the holidays at most retailers worldwide,” online retailer Zavvi has announced a £20 price cut. The Xbox One product page currently lists the console at just £409.99 down from its recommended retail of £429.99. There’s been no word from Microsoft on whether this is an official price-cut, so it’s best to assume that this is one retailers decision and not a worldwide discount.

The price-cut follows the news that over three million Xbox One consoles were sold in 2013 which is no surprise really considering the strength of the lineup. Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct and Forza 5 not to mention the cross platform possibilities such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Madden 25 and Call of Duty: Ghosts. Did you somehow manage to resist buying your new Xbox over Christmas; well there’s never been a better time to invest!
