It’s not hard to walk into a gaming store or section to find piles upon piles of gaming accessories to help you expand your typical gaming experience. Some are good, some are bad, and some are downright ridiculous. This trend of bizarre gaming accessories isn’t new. Companies have been pedaling awkward add-ons since as far back as the Atari days. We have always been marketed unnecessary and overpriced equipment to “help” us experience our consoles in a fresh way, though most of the time it turned out rotten.
The blue hedgehog is wasting no time. After last years' underwhelming Sonic: Lost World, it would be understandable if there wasn't anything new to report for a while, but Sega is not content with staying down. While there have been reports of a new Sonic game in the works, Sega denied the rumors, calling them "incorrect". At a New York City event, however, Sega revealed that a new franchise in the Sonic the Hedgehog brand is being developed. Sonic Boom will be the name of both a CG animated series and games to be released for the Wii U and 3DS.
It seems to be common place in this day and age for gamers and gaming companies alike to be pitted against each other in some form of fierce competition. Whether it is fighting it out in a match of Halo, Call of Duty, or Mario Kart or in the case of companies like Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, producing the best and most innovative console in order to earn their place as the number one choice for gamers. It’s been no secret that Microsoft and Sony are going head to head for the release of their respective systems this November, the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, and the battle is getting heated.

More and more we are seeing remakes of some of our all-time favorite games, all prettied up with updated graphics and giving us a renewed reason to squeal with excitement and relive our childhood. One of the most recent old school classics to receive a new makeover is DuckTales, or DuckTales Remastered, as it is now called, and to celebrate its release we are going to revisit some of our favorite retro Disney games!
