Ubisoft Reveals Rainbow Six Siege’s New Multiplayer Map

Ubisoft has officially revealed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s upcoming multiplayer map, “Favela.” The new multiplayer map will be included as part of the new expansion Operation: Skull Rain.

According to Ubisoft, this new map “is designed to drive a close-quarter flow of combat indoors with plenty of opportunities for rooftop action outdoors.” The new map will also introduce a new feature into the game, exterior shell destruction, which allows players to destroy all the map’s main buildings from the outside. The publisher also confirms the map has been tested out during its development stages by professional Rainbow Six Siege players.

Operation Skull Rain is set to launch on August 2nd, 2016. In addition to a new multiplayer map, the upcoming expansion will also debut two new operators Caveira and Capitão, who are members from Brazil’s Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE), a new Tactical Realism game mode which limits players marking and HUD abilities, a new angled grip attachment to allow faster aiming down sights, as well as a new surrender option for matchmaking. The expansion will be available on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
