Civilization VI’s Launch Trailer Shows How Far We’ve Come

As we get closer to the release of Civilization VI, 2K and Firaxis Games have released a new trailer for the game. Unlike previous trailers, which highlight the various leaders and civilizations, this trailer instead focuses on more broad themes, specifically how far we’ve come from the early days of drawings on cave walls.

The trailer, which you can check below, shows a man and woman on a ship near Corsica. What starts off as a simple voyage, shows the many marvels and accomplishments we as a species have created, from the Colossus of Rhodes, to the creation of the Great Wall of China, to the first airplane by the Wright Brothers, and finally going into space. “”It is the nature of humankind to push itself toward the horizon,”, the narrator says. “We test our limits, we face our fears, we rise to the challenge and become something greater than ourselves – a civilization.”

Civilization VI launches on October 21st of this year exclusively for the PC.
