Here’s the Highlights from the Mortal Kombat X Celebrity Launch Tournament

To celebrate the launch of Mortal Kombat X, the teams over at Microsoft and NetherRealm hosted a Mortal Kombat X tournament starring a number of celebrities and YouTube personalities such as Wayne Brady, William Mosley (The Royals), Robert Buckey (iZombie), Brent Morin (Undatable), Monty Geer (Awkward), Omar Dorsey (Selma, Django Unchained), Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights), and Jessica Chobot (Nerdist). Held on April 13th at the Mircosoft Lounge in Venice, celebrities such as Brady made it all the way to the semi-finals, it was ultimately up to Malik Forte from Nerdist and YouTuber Lui Calibre to settle it with Lui coming out on top.

Check out the highlights in the video below, uploaded on the Mortal Kombat Community YouTube channel, where Malik Forte and Brady square off with Malik ending it with a Kung Lao Fatality. Mortal Kombat X is the tenth numbered Mortal Kombat title, bringing several new characters to the roster that includes series veterans such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kano, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, and more. Mortal Kombat X is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
