Mortal Kombat X Livestream Details Johnny Cage’s Playstyle

In the fifth episode of NetherRealm’s web stream, the team take a look at the fisticuffs flying super star Johnny Cage, including his variations which add a little bit of mixing to a Mortal Kombat staple character. Johnny Cage comes with three styles of fighting, each more star studded than the last. A lot has changed for Mr. Cage, he has a daughter, Cassie Cage, he was married to Sonya Blade at some point, and was divorced from Sonya Blade at a later point.

The first fight variation Johnny has is called “A-List”, which gives him a Street Fighter X Tekken-style ability to charge certain special moves like his Shadow Kick, which do a lot more damage and even allow for dash cancelling to psyche out opponents. With Fisticuffs, Johnny equips himself with a pair of gold knuckle dusters (that also have his name them), which allow for increased chip damage and extended combos. Additionally, he gets increased combo capabilities and damage when below 20% health. Finally, with Stunt Double, Johnny takes a page out of Noob Saibot’s book by using a silohette to allow for additional hits and combos to increase his damage potential.
