Pokemon Enters the VR World With Pokemon GO

Nintendo has announced the latest installment in their worldwide Pokemon franchise, which comes in the way of a VR game set on mobile devices known as Pokemon GO! Set for release in 2016 on Android and iOS, the new Pokemon game is exactly what it sounds like, with players able to find, catch, battle, and trade Pokemon with other players, in real time, in a virtual reality space. It’s hard to say exactly how this game will play out, but according to the trailer linked below, it will have Pokemon virtually everywhere in the world, as well as have regional events where many different players can come together to work towards a common goal, such as defeating the legendary psychic Pokemon Mewtwo.

Players will be able to wear a small device called the Pokemon GO Plus, which will act as an extension of the game, outside of the smartphone side. The game is set for release in 2016, so we can expect more news closer to release. Check out the trailer below.
