Wii U System Update Improves Load Times and Adds Virtual Console!

Nintendo will be releasing a new system update for the Wii U that will both add the Virtual Console and reduce loading times significantly. Nintendo has gone as far as making a video to show the significant before and after changes. The video shows two Wii U’s going from a game to the main screen.

The updated Wii U loads this screen so much faster, allowing you to switch from task to task quickly and efficiently. Besides the wonderful new load times, Nintendo will also be releasing a Virtual Console that will allow players to play games solely on the GamePad. As of right now, the Wii U only plays Virtual Console games that have been transferred over from a Wii. The new system update is scheduled to be released sometime in April.
